Hiking
Rugaru Adventures
The only zip-line operation in the Hochatown area, Rugaru Adventures sends guests through the forest canopy on a six-line course covering more than half a mile, with views of Broken Bow Lake along the way.
Speeds reach up to 35 miles per hour on certain lines, and the full experience, including check-in, gear fitting, and safety orientation, takes about two hours. An automatic braking system means no hand-braking is required, and trained guides accompany every tour with safety and rescue certification. Weight limits of 70 to 250 pounds apply, and participants need closed-toed shoes with a heel strap.
The course runs primarily on weekends, with Friday afternoon and full Saturday/Sunday availability during the regular season. Advance booking is recommended, especially during summer and fall, as tours fill quickly.
