David Boren Hiking Trail
Named for Oklahoma’s longest-serving senator, the David Boren Hiking Trail is a 26-mile system that connects nearly every corner of Beavers Bend into one continuous route.
Most visitors combine individual segments into a customized day hike. The full 26-mile route is a multi-day undertaking. The trails pass through bottomland forests along the river, pine ridges with long views, and quiet hollows rarely seen by the average park visitor. It’s the most thorough way to understand how much terrain Beavers Bend actually covers.
Backcountry camping is permitted along designated sections, and the full trail draws an increasing number of multi-day hikers. Maps and trailhead parking are available at the park office.
Gallery 259
A fine art gallery and event venue just south of Choctaw Landing on Highway 259, Gallery 259 is the most substantive visual art destination in the Hochatown area.
Cedar Creek Golf Course
Set within Beavers Bend State Park with pine-rimmed fairways and views of Broken Bow Lake, Cedar Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 public course with a strong claim to being the most scenic round of golf in Oklahoma.
Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides
One of the most family-friendly attractions in the park, Beavers Bend Depot combines a scenic replica train ride with guided horseback trail rides through the Ouachita Mountain forest.
Choctaw Landing Resort & Casino
