Beaver’s Bend Mining Company
Combining hands-on gem and fossil discovery with miniature golf and a mechanical T-Rex, Beavers Bend Mining Company is one of the most activity-dense family stops in Hochatown.
The centerpiece is a 66-foot sluice where visitors pan for gemstones including amethyst, emeralds, garnets, and rose quartz, as well as fossils, shark teeth, and arrowheads. Staff provide educational commentary throughout, and everything you find is yours to keep. Mining rough is sold in 3-lb, 10-lb, and 20-lb bags.
The site also has a nine-hole dinosaur-themed indoor mini golf course, an 18-hole pirate-themed outdoor course called Shipwreck Cove, a mechanical T-Rex ride called Fluffy, a mini-excavator ride, and a wax hand dipping station. General admission to walk the grounds is free, with individual activities priced separately.

Set within Beavers Bend State Park with pine-rimmed fairways and views of Broken Bow Lake, Cedar Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 public course with a strong claim to being the most scenic round of golf in Oklahoma.
Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides
One of the most family-friendly attractions in the park, Beavers Bend Depot combines a scenic replica train ride with guided horseback trail rides through the Ouachita Mountain forest.
