Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides
One of the most family-friendly attractions in the park, Beavers Bend Depot combines a scenic replica train ride with guided horseback trail rides through the Ouachita Mountain forest.
The train, a 1/3-scale replica that winds through the woods and dips down Wahoo Hill, departs approximately every 30 minutes starting at 9 AM, with tickets priced at $10 for children and $12 for adults. The horseback trail rides last 45 to 60 minutes and cover roughly 2.5 miles of terrain, departing at the top of each hour. A 250-pound weight limit applies to all horse riders, and reservations are strongly recommended as popular time slots fill early.
An on-site gift shop sells souvenirs and ice cream, and seasonal hayrides are available on Saturdays for groups and private events. Hours vary by season and weather. Call ahead at 580-494-6613 to confirm before making the drive.

A fine art gallery and event venue just south of Choctaw Landing on Highway 259, Gallery 259 is the most substantive visual art destination in the Hochatown area.
