Beavers Bend Safari Park
A 90-acre drive-through wildlife park home to more than 350 animals across 55 species, Beavers Bend Safari Park delivers a genuine safari experience in the middle of the Ouachita Mountains.
The 1.8-mile drive-through route takes guests past rhinos, bison, zebras, ostriches, kudu, and exotic antelopes, many of which approach vehicles looking for the provided animal feed. A separate 2-acre Animal Walkabout allows closer encounters with lemurs, kangaroos, capybaras, pygmy hippos, and otters. Behind-the-scenes guided encounters with rhinos, sloths, and other animals are available for small groups and must be booked in advance.
Founded by Errin and Kyle Hugghins in 2019 after a family trip, the park uses the natural terrain, including trees, streams, and rolling land, to create an environment that doesn’t feel like a typical roadside attraction. A gift shop, coffee corner, and on-site luxury cabin rentals are also on the property.

A fine art gallery and event venue just south of Choctaw Landing on Highway 259, Gallery 259 is the most substantive visual art destination in the Hochatown area.
Cedar Creek Golf Course
Set within Beavers Bend State Park with pine-rimmed fairways and views of Broken Bow Lake, Cedar Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 public course with a strong claim to being the most scenic round of golf in Oklahoma.
Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides
One of the most family-friendly attractions in the park, Beavers Bend Depot combines a scenic replica train ride with guided horseback trail rides through the Ouachita Mountain forest.
Choctaw Landing Resort & Casino
A full-service resort and casino operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, Choctaw Landing brings hotel-style amenities and gaming to the Hochatown corridor just steps from Beavers Bend State Park.
Hester’s Theatre of Magic
An intimate magic parlor seating just 53 guests, Hester’s Theatre of Magic delivers a live performance experience that holds up for both skeptical adults and young kids.
Beaver’s Bend Mining Company
Combining hands-on gem and fossil discovery with miniature golf and a mechanical T-Rex, Beavers Bend Mining Company is one of the most activity-dense family stops in Hochatown.
