Scotty Dogg’s Hideout
The area’s most dedicated whiskey and cigar destination, Scotty Dogg’s Hideout operates across the street from the Hochatown Saloon as its quieter, smokier counterpart.
The bar carries a well-maintained selection of bourbons and whiskeys alongside handcrafted cocktails, all enjoyed in an indoor lounge or on a covered back deck outfitted with heaters and televisions. Premium cigars are available from a well-stocked humidor, and smoking is permitted on the outdoor patio. The combination of serious spirits, good cigars, and a genuinely low-key atmosphere fills a gap that the more raucous venues nearby don’t.
Open Sunday through Thursday until midnight and Friday through Saturday until 2 AM, the Hideout is a natural second stop after dinner at the Saloon, or a late-night wind-down for those not inclined toward the dance floor. Monday evenings feature “Mad Mondays” starting at 6 PM.
Knotted Rope Winery
A small-batch winery on Lukfata Trail Road in Hochatown, Knotted Rope skips barrel aging to preserve the natural character of the grape, setting its wines apart from most of what’s available in the area.
Fish Tales Winery & Bistro
Situated just across from the main entrance to Beavers Bend State Park, Fish Tales Winery is a tasting room and bistro built around Muscadine grapes grown in the Ouachita foothills.
