Pickleberry Lodge is situated right in the middle of towering pines on a creek side lot that features gorgeous, serene views and frequent wildlife sightings. It’s pushed back off the road for optimal privacy and has a big roundabout drive that is easy to get in and out of.

As you pull in the front elevation will surely take your breath away. It has a very grandiose feel in size and materials. The stone and wood paired with the oversized windows scream “come on in!”

The dramatic front stairs add to the beautiful elevation, but if stairs aren’t your thing – there’s also a very convenient ramp that wraps around to the back patio and door.

As you walk in the front door you’ll notice soaring ceilings with tons of natural light. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow the perfect view of towering pines and wilderness just outside.

In the living room, you can cozy up to the oversized fireplace or watch your favorite show while lounging on our comfy seating. And, fun fact – the wood mantle is made from wood from the original Stockyards in Fort Worth!

The kitchen is bright and airy, and it is stocked with anything you might need for a fun weekend, gourmet holiday dinner, and everything in between. The kitchen table sits 8 people and there are 3 seats at the counter as well.

There are two master suites that are identical in size but styled differently. They compliment your stay with a modern, upscale experience to the cabin feel! Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with stand-alone baths as well as pebble-bottom showers for that spa-like feel. Each master suite also has a door to the front patio with a seating area – perfect for morning coffee and evening wine!

Up the stairs you’ll find a bunk room with 6 bunks, a sofa, and a flat-screen TV – this room is perfect for the kids to lounge!

Outside on the large covered deck, there is an outdoor dining table, a lounge set, a built-in grill, fireplace, flat-screen TV, and of course a hot tub! You’ll also find corn hole boards, and a beautifully lit firepit surrounded by pines opening up to perfectly see the stars at night.

Getting to Know Broken Bow (aka Hochatown)

People flock from all over the south all year long to visit this amazing part of SE Oklahoma because of its natural beauty and splendor. Most people know the area as “Broken Bow”, but the area where the cabins are located is actually called “Hochatown”. Hochatown is a small town full of BIG FUN! Hochatown is all about GLAMPING and having fun! You can go hiking in the Kiamichi Forest (all of the trails are a short drive from the cabin area), boating on Broken Bow Lake, exploring the many wineries or visiting some of the cool attractions. We’ll send you an online Area Guide with every attraction and restaurant in Broken Bow once you book to make your trip planning even easier!

♦︎ Boat Slip – The cabin is approximately an 8-15 min drive from Broken Bow Lake, where you can locate a public shared boat slip.

◆ Property’s House and Security Rules ◆

Maximum Occupancy: 10 (adults, children 2+). Exceeding the maximum occupancy results in additional charges and/or eviction without refund.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement which will require you to upload your license.

A $300 security deposit will be temporarily held on your card during your stay and automatically released two days after your departure, provided there are no damages or missing items. Don’t worry—we don’t believe in holding guests “hostage.” We understand accidents happen, and this is simply a standard precaution.

The deposit will be processed through an Airbnb-approved, software-integrated third-party service property management software, via a secure email link. This same system will also be used for communication outside of the Airbnb platform, including email and messaging.

✱If your reservation is made more than 2 days before check-in, the system will place a “test hold” to verify the payment method. This initial “test hold” will be released after 2 days of verification, and the “actual security hold” will be applied again 2 days before your arrival, as scheduled, for the duration of your stay.

For the safety of our guests, we have installed exterior cameras; one is above the main entrance, facing the driveway, and the second is facing the back stairs cabin entrance. They are 24/7 motion activated and record video and sound.

No Pets No Smoking or Vaping of any kind No Fireworks Permitted

Parties or birthday parties and celebrations are not permitted, and we need to be informed in advance if you plan to have any of the above events at our property.

Must be 25 to rent and person booking must be present at the property during the entirety of the stay.

Keep in mind that Broken Bow/Hochatown is a rural area and while our cabins are wired for fast Internet, outages can and do occasionally occur. We cannot guarantee your Internet service.

A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, dishwashing liquid, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, coffee, coffee filters, and salt & pepper will be provided for your stay. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens, washers/dryers, towels, and linens.

Propane is provided for gas grills. Please clean the grill tray after use to prevent flare-ups.

We drain and sanitize our hot tubs after every check-out.

The fireplace will not be operational from April 1 to October 1.

Welcome to the “wasp season” from November to December and early spring! During chilly nights and early mornings, followed by warm days, wasps tend to gather on rooftops in search of warmth. While it doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a wasp nest in the house, they are essentially in hibernation mode, seeking cozy spots.

Generally, they won’t bother you much, but we kindly ask you to keep the cabin doors and windows shut to prevent them from entering. Just a heads-up: there’s wasp spray conveniently located under the kitchen sink in case you need it, but do not spray over the furniture!

Stay buzz-free and enjoy your time in the cabin!

Please note that this is a forested area and there are times when the Oklahoma Forestry Service enforces a burning ban in the area. Fines can be upwards of $1000. Please check online for the current burn ban status before using the outdoor firepit.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Seventy-five percent (75.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 7 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. A $39 cancellation fee will apply to all cancellations.
